That's Where I Got Sexually Harassed

Hi Readers,

Please, take a few moments and look at that video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B2SGamUeMec where it can give you an idea of what happened to me and how I got chased by guys on Talaat Harb street. It's NOT me in the video, but that's exactly what happened to me as it happened to those poor girls in the video. I took the link from Sandmonkey's blog. That's exactly what happened to me as well, same street (Talaat Harb street), same SPOT of Talaat Harb street, how amazing!!!!!!!

I'm shocked to read about your terrifying ordeal. I'm appalled that the police stood by and did not intervene!
I hope that your blog wil help raise debate in your country and lead to and end of this kind of behaviour.

You're right, Rodolfo! It was a great nightmare that I have went through, yet, I was calm watching my hand bleeding as my blood has covered so many spots that night including my clothes. Yet, I won't fucking shut up about the truth and I also ask*** you all the same. Thank you!

Ladies, arm yourselves.

A PPK is small enough.
A Glock could be in fashion now.

Refuse to be a victim and just take them out!

You'd shoot a rabid dog if it was attacking you, wouldn't ya?

Same thing. Just waste 'em.

Daym...my sister just came in the room and woke me up from staring in disbelief at the video. I think that most of the men to the rear of the 'stampede' were simply curious and followed the crowd...but nevertheless...WOW!

And btw...you're better off with the taser...try getting one that shoots too...

I am working on getting more spray and a taser that shoots, Sam.

Unforunately, it's a police car and as you see the guy just stuck his head out of the window and didn't do anything.

Terribly scary. I hope that things improve. Even pepper spray won't stop a rampaging mob. Please keep us updated. Take good care.

Well, I know my one self defense spray wasn't enough to stop them all, but whoever received it in the eyes, was dropped on the floor right away, so it kinda helpped. But as soon as I get enough number of that, I will fill my hand bag with them, no make-up (even though I don't really use make-up, lol!), nothing else will be in my bag but bottles of the spray. Oh Yes!!!!

Revenge is a dish best served C O L D! And that's how I am gonna serve it to the Egyptian men over here. C O L D!

I feel sorry for you, unfortunately misogyny is an essential component of Islam and harassment to women is just one of its expressions. Unfortunately this is happening all over the world where Muslims live. Not only in Mideast countries. Here in Paris France for instance I’ve been witness of several rape attempts. In fact, at any mayor celebration, like New Years Eve, 14 of July, etc groups of young muslin gather in groups to harass women.

Mainstream French media and French politicians try to hide this kind of stories because they know they could affect one of most important sources of revenue for the country: tourism. However scenes like the one on the video are quite common here, and note that I’m not talking about the ghetto areas surrounding Paris, where of course “tournantes” (collective rapes) are everyday’s life, and where a woman can’t walk outside after evening or without wearing a veil. No, I’m talking about the riots, assaults and rape attempts in the center of Paris and in the main avenue of Paris, “Les Champs-Elysées” where they take place at any big gathering.

Sad and schoked. That is how I was when I read about it. I am so sorry you had to go through this. I wish you could tell those police officers who show on TV denying all what happened. I am so worried about my family in Egypt.
