Salamtik alf salama,

I am very sorry u had to go thru this. Hopefully, this is the last time u will ever go thru this and I hope it never happens to any woman again.

The cut in ur hand will insha2 Allah look better with time, and if u feel u need to, u can always get a very simple scarotomy operation which is a type of plastic surgery to remove any scar tissue.

As u know, the government here and it's loyal dogs in the government press and media are denying that this ever happened and they site the fact that not one single girl who was attacked that night reported to the police and they are urging any girls who were victims to come forward and report what happened to them. If u r reluctant to go to the police, then how about going to a big TV show like Al-Qahira Al-Yowm or Al-3ashira Masa2an or to Al-Masry Al-Yowm newspaper and being interviewed?

Unfortunately, people here are starting to believe that nothing happened and it was all a big hype.

I wish u full success in ur campaign for truth and justice about this tragic incident.

But girl4Cairo, why do u blame Islam for what happened? Were those who attacked u religious?

Thank you, Free Egyptian Boy! Well, we all wish things that like that will never happens again. I didn't think of stopping by any police crap and do any reporting when I simply saw the idiots were around watching what happened. I am telling you that I have seen more than 5 police/security guys among the crowd, yet, they still stood there to watch my other female friend and I fighting an endless number of guys who didn't give up on grabbing sensitive parts in our bodies--seemed interesting to them, I guess. Stupid Wankers.

I mentioned earlier in other comments that I believe that the culture is based on this religion is the major reason why this happen.

It's also their attitude and how they were raised and grew up in a strict society--everything is religion in Arab countries.

Don't you agree?

No, not everything here is based on religion, and this sexual molestation trend I do not believe has been part of the culture except in the past recent years only. Islam has been in this country for more than 1400 years, and molestation is only a couple of decades old. I think what we're seeing is polarisation in society. People either become very religious or very non-religious. And unfortunately, a lot of those who become religious focus mainly on 3ibadat (acts of worship like prayer, fasting, etc) and on mazahir (outward appearances like beard, hijab, etc), and not so much on mo3amalat (dealings with other people and good morals).

Do u think the 10-12 year old kids who took part in the molesting had strict parents? and were living in strict neighborhoods? I think they come from slums and run down areas where things are chaotic and like a jungle more than being strict and organized.

Was there any sign that the ones attacking u were religious? And since they probably were not religious at all, then u shd blame what happened on LACK of religion on their part. How can non-religious ppl attack u, and then u blame religion for it??

I'm sorry, that's just my view. I know u're going thru a tough time and may all ur wounds heal fast. I was just honestly answering ur question.

U still didn't answer me about why u don't go to the media to report what happened?

Wi salamtik alf alf salama marra tanya.

I understand your point of view, but mine is still the same with all my respect for you!

I am sorry, I didn't mean to skip the part about going to the media to report what happened, I just forgot. I have been thinking about that which my male-friend who is a witness of what happened has also been suggesting the same. I am just waiting until he is back in town within a week.
